Mika Biereth and Omar Rekik are on the verge of sealing loans to Eredivisie loan moves
Arsenal youth duo Mika Biereth and Omar Rekik are all set to move to the Eredivisie for the 2022-23 season. Biereth, the 19-year-old striker arrived from Fulham’s Academy last season. Since his arrival, he has enjoyed a great Under-23 campaign under Kevin Betsy.
Biereth ended his first season at the Emirates with 12 goals and 5 assists in 26 outings. He scored 11 goals in 21 Premier League 2 matches
The Dane Under -19 player came up with a hattrick against Chelsea and scored a brace against Manchester City. Consequently, he was made the captain of the team. He led the Arsenal youth team for the final three matches of the season.
Arsenal developing youth players well
Arsenal is choosing to loan out its youth players instead of integrating them into the first team. According to The Athletic the teenager is going to join RKC Waalwijk on a loan. After that, he is going on a loan to a Premier League team in the 2023-24 season for further development.
The report further adds that Rekik will join Biereth in the Netherlands. Omar Rekik is a center-back. In the past, he was a prospect for many big European clubs. But he chose Arsenal in 2020. Rekik is a regular starter for the Arsenal Youth team. He provided one assist for the Arsenal Youth team last year. He has also captained for the Gunner’s Youth team on one occasion. It was a match against Tottenham Hotspur, which ended in a 2-1 win for the Youth Team
Rekik has already earned three caps for Tunisia’s national team. He has made two substitute appearances for his country. Rekik is reportedly joining Sparta Rotterdam Arsenal already have Marquinhos as a promising young prospect. He can be further integrated with the squad. He can be loaned out for further development as well
Fabio Viera and Matt Turner be conformed in the near future by the Gunners. Youri Tielemans remains a high priority for The Gunners. Also, Arsenal are hopeful of concluding a double deal worth £70m for Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez and Manchester City’s Gabriel Jesus.
