The 17 member squad is set to begin their prep as they clash against the hosts West Indies for a warm-up match on January 9. In a recent interview Head Coach, Hrishikesh Kanitkar was asked about the players who could turn out as the match winners and even have the potential to make the cut in the senior team.
“Most of them have the talent to get there like Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Ravi Kumar and Raj Angad Bawa. They have it in them, so they should not hurry,” Kanitkar said in response.
“They need to give themselves time to develop and learn all the nuances of the game and then they have a good chance of striking it and making it big,” he added.
