Aston Villa monitoring Conor Gallagher situation at Chelsea

According to the reports, Aston Villa are one of the clubs registering interest in Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher. As far as Gallagher’s current situation is a matter of concern, it is still uncertain where he will play next.

The latest reports mentioned that the young England international can be a possible transfer target for Aston Villa. The Midlands club led by Steven Gerrard already bought a midfielder for free in the form of Boubacar Kamara. But now they want to reinforce their squad depth more in the middle of the pitch. In a discussion, the 22-year old, who played for Crystal Palace last season, also surfaced.

Aston Villa interested in Conor Gallagher

Gallagher joined Palace last season on loan from the Stamford Bridge outfit. He was one of the star performers for Patrick Vieira’s side. However, given his quality, many believe Tuchel can still find a way to fit him into his system. Although, others believe that a move for Gallagher might happen if Tuchel can’t figure out a way. But that would be late in the transfer window. As for Gallagher, he wants first-team football, wherever he will land eventually, at the end of the window.

“I think we saw what Conor Gallagher provided for Crystal Palace last year. He was probably one of the best players in the Premier League, for me, on his day. So, he will definitely be a huge signing for Villa if Steven Gerrard was able to get him.”

Many suggested that the Chelsea academy graduate won’t come cheap. If any club wants to lure him from the Stamford Bridge outfit, they might have to pay them around £50 million. However, if Gerrard opts to go for him, no doubt he will be a quality addition to their squad. Moreover, with time he will only get better under the coaching of the legendary English midfielder.
