Joao Felix the future leader of the Atletico Madrid attack

Joao has made 110 appearances for Atletico across all competitoms. In these appearances, he has had 29 goals to his name. It is safe to say that he has struggled at the club. Injuries have been the major issue in this struggle. However, it is prudent to write him off just because of his injury issues.

He is a versatile player who is capable of playing as a winger as well as an attacking midfield. Joao Felix has immense creative ability, fantastic finishing ability, and excellent dribbling skills. However bad the injuries might be, there’s no denying that he has a plethora of talent and skills.

Moreover, Luis Suarez is looking to depart the club this summer. This means Joao Felix has to step it up for the club. With this departure, Felix could find himself playing a key role in the Atletico Madrid attack next season

Joao opened up to Marca, regarding his future at Atletico Madrid. “A departure from Atlético is not on the table, I’m fine and focused on Atletico…….. I am calm about the future, aware of what I can do and I am fine with myself. I’m still on vacation, I just started training to prepare for the pre-season, but I’m not thinking too much about football.” Despite his injuries, Felix registered his best figures with Atletico to date last summer. He had four assists to his name and he netted eight goals for the Spanish side.
