Aubameyang and Ziyech will leave as Phillips shares his point of view

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Hakim Ziyech will leave Chelsea next season and Simon Phillips shares his point of view on this matter.

Journalist Simon Phillips reported that both Aubameyang and Ziyech will leave the club at the end of the season as there wages are too high. Limited playing time for both the players under Graham Potter is another key reason for their departure.

However, Aubameyang is also out of the Champions League squad list which signals the end of his life at Stanford Bridge. He failed to impact since arriving from Barcelona last summer.

Meanwhile, Ziyech was prepared to move away to PSG in the January transfer window but a paperwork error led to failing the move. The Moroccan international remains with Chelsea until the end of the season.

Phillips told GiveMeSports that Ziyech is willing to move to PSG next season if the French Giants make another play for his services. He said:-

“Hakim Ziyech is stuck at Chelsea.

“I’m told he really wanted the PSG move, so that kind of tells me he will be willing to wait and see if they come in the summer.”

Phillips also mentioned Aubameyang’s situation and claimed that he will leave Chelsea next season:-

“Aubameyang will certainly leave, I’m pretty sure about that, along with Hakim Ziyech, who was close to joining PSG in the January window. Those two will go, that’s two sets of big wages off.”

New Signings Mykhailo Mudryk, David Datro Fofana, João Felix, and Noni Madueke in January mean a lack of game time for both players. Chelsea are looking to strengthen their attacking line for the future.

Combining the wages of both Ziyech and Aubameyang, they earn £260,000 per week at Chelsea. Departure for both the players looks evitable.
