Aurelien Tchouameni joins Real Madrid on a six-year deal

Real Madrid yesterday confirmed the signing of talented youngster Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco. He will join the Los Blancos on a six-year contract that runs up to the June of 2028. Meanwhile The 14-time Champions League champions won a stiff competition from Paris St Germain and Liverpool to sign the skillful midfielder.

The Frenchman is bought for a hefty fee that is said to rise up to €100million. Tchouameni will be presented to the fans and media in the Spanish capital next Tuesday. Before that, he would have to complete his medical. The French international now becomes the second signing of the summer for the Los Blancos.

This month only, the Spanish giants confirmed the signing of Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger. Meanwhile Rudiger joined Madrid on a free transfer from Chelsea. Tchouameni was one of the most sought-after midfielders this season. Hence, he attracted the interests of the top clubs of Europe. He was impressive all season with Monaco where he made 50 appearances.

Real Madrid are looking to prepare their midfield for their future

The Rouen-born midfielder was the Ligue 1 young player of the season this year. Over the months, he has become a regular for the French national team under Didier Deschamps. He has featured in 10 games since his debut in September 2021.

Tchouameni will join his fellow compatriots Karim Benzema, Edouardo Camavinga and Ferland Mendy in Madrid. Midfield lynchpin Casemiro is set to get stiff competition from Tchouameni in Madrid under Carlo Ancelotti.

However, Real Madrid’s midfield looks to be in safe hands in the future. As Tchoumeni, Camavinga and Frederico Valverde look to replace veterans Modric, Casemiro, and Tony Kroos. Though, As all these new signings are all within the age group of 20 and above. Therefore, Madrid have a plan in mind when they are recruiting these players.
