Barcelona fans can finally breathe in a sigh of relief. Jules Kounde can finally be registered, according to reports from Spain.

The La Liga were in a cut-throat battle with Chelsea over his signature. Kounde was acquired by Barcelona from Sevilla. However, they were not able to register him and their other newcomers only before their season-opening La Liga match against Rayo Vallecano. Although the others were registered, it was not the case with the former Bordeaux man. There were fears over his ability to play for Barcelona this season among fans.

It was anticipated that the issue would be resolved by the time the team faced Real Sociedad in the second game. However, that did happen. Jules Kounde allegedly became angry with the situation.  According to new reports, Barcelona needed at least €20 million to complete Kounde’s registration. They planned to raise this amount through the sale of Aubameyang, who is reportedly close to joining Chelsea.

However, new reports state that this is no longer a requirement. Barcelona have gathered the funds to register Kounde in the nick of time. He can reportedly be a part of Barcelona’s squad against Real Valladolid on Sunday evening.

How did Barcelona register Kounde?

Barçelona reportedly presented new documentation to La Liga that was accepted. It will enable the registration without Aubameyang’s departure.

Some speculate that a number of players have taken a pay cut. They were in talks with a number of them about this. In the ensuing hours, a fuller picture of the circumstance ought to materialise.

If this is the case, the Catalans may not have to let Aubameyang go, However, they may still decide to let him go since they still intend to sign two new full-backs. Javi Galan and Marcos Alonso are some of the options on their list. They will look to bring someone in before the window closes.
