According to several reports, Barcelona have added Thomas Tuchel as the new priority for the manager replacement situation. The current Catalan headlines consist of their poor performance and sacking of Ronald Koeman in near future. And to add more spices to those rumors, reports suggest that Barcelona president Joan Laporta wants Thomas Tuchel at Camp Nou.

Thomas Tuchel currently managing Chelsea has already achieved quite a success since joining the Blues in January. Before that Tuchel had the job to manage French giants Paris Saint-Germain, where he had lifted six trophies. However, despite having a good record with PSG he was sacked in December 2020 as the club thought different ways.

But the German mastermind didn’t have to wait long to find his managing club as Chelsea approached him in January. The Blues sacked Frank Lampard as the English legend couldn’t perform well despite having a good squad. And Tuchel taking up the managerial role, Chelsea achieved quite a success in just a few months.

Tuchel led the Blues to finish fourth in the Premier League table last season after the club suffered bad results in the first half. Furthermore, he led the club to the FA Cup final last season, but bad luck couldn’t win it. But the ultimate was Chelsea winning the Champions League title the second time after beating Manchester City by 1-0.

While the German is continuing to lead into success this season also with a good start. But recent reports suggest Barcelona are wanting to sign Thomas Tuchel as their manager after Koeman’s failures. But it is very unlikely to happen currently as the German is happy staying and managing Chelsea. While he is under contract with the Blues until 2024. So, Barcelona should stop dreaming about bringing the German mastermind to replace Ronald Koeman.

Joan Laporta still trusts Ronald Koeman with the Barcelona job

All the current Barcelona news is covered with Ronald Koeman faces, as the Dutch manager is facing some tough times. The Catalans since letting Lionel Messi leave have been suffering greatly with horrible match results. Currently, Barcelona sits last in the Champions League group E suffering two defeats in two matches.

While the Catalans sit 9th in the La Liga table suffering the latest 2-0 defeat against Atletico Madrid. Before the Atletico fixture, Laporta was asked to comment if Koeman was to lose the job if Barcelona loses the match. And replying to that Laporta said he trusts the Dutchman and he will have full support despite any bad results. However, the news and rumors say other things about the situation. Anyways we don’t know what would happen to Ronald Koeman in the future. But we can definitely say Barcelona needs some changes before it’s too late.
