The BCCI has decided to discuss a 12-point agenda during its next Apex Council meeting.

The board has given the highest priority to the domestic sphere of Indian cricket.

This includes the Ranji Trophy which the BCCI was able to hold successfully this year on either side of the IPL.

Previously, there was a shortened window for the Ranji Trophy because of the pandemic.

Some of the points as regards domestic cricket are the procurement of new equipment and the format and timelines.

However, this time the BCCI will be holding the domestic tournament in its normal format and there will be no disruptions.

Second, on the agenda will be the sponsorship deals with Byju’s and Paytm.

While Byju’s is the principal sponsor of India’s team jersey, Paytm is responsible for holding all of India’s domestic and international tournaments.

BCCI has extended their sponsorship deals with both of them and Byju Raveendran has also confirmed the same.

However, the final talks and decisions will be taken at the Apex Council meeting.

Thirdly, the BCCI will talk about the National Cricket Academy at Bengaluru.

The NCA has been a dream project for the BCCI and the board has given it a lot of investment, planning and efforts to develop it to its current stature.

Fourthly, the next topic will be the increase in the pension of retired cricketers, that the BCCI announced last month.

Many more points have also been listed on the BCCI’s agenda for the meeting.

BCCI will also be taking stock of the bank guarantee from Star India Private Limited during this meeting.

Star is the current broadcaster of all India matches as well as the IPL.
