Big Transfer rumour: Gavi might leave Barcelona for Chelsea

In recent transfer news, it has been reported that Chelsea has met with the agent of Barcelona’s 18-year-old prodigy Gavi. The spanish midfielder is regarded as one of the brightest young talents in world football. This development has taken place because there are rumours that Gavi cannot sign his new contract.

WHY CAN’T GAVI SIGN HIS NEW CONTRACT? Although the club and player have agreed on a new deal, the Blaugrana aren’t allowed to register their star midfielder, as they are over their allocated budget for the 2022-23 season.

Gavi’s registration was overturned and he was back to his youth contract, which expires on June 30. With his new contract not being valid for now, if Barcelona do not register him in the summer. It will meant that Gavi can leave the club as a free agent. While it was previously reported that he was not worried by this. But now, there are reports that Gavi is upset with the entire matter.

Can Chelsea lure Gavi to joining them?

It is claimed that the meeting between Chelsea and Gavi’s agent was satisfactory for both parties. And more talks are set to take place soon. As Chelsea look to lure the 18-year-old midfield sensation to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

The Blues have been known for investing in young talent. With the likes of Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi emerging as key players in recent seasons. The addition of Gavi would only strengthen their position as one of the most exciting young teams in Europe. Gavi would bring the much needed boost and energy to the club.

It remains to be seen whether Chelsea can reach an agreement with Barcelona for Gavi’s transfer, but it is clear that the Blues are serious about their pursuit of the talented youngster. Fans will be eagerly anticipating further updates on this developing story.
