Tottenham Hotspur star Brennan Johnson points the difference between Tottenham and Nottingham Forest. Tottenham signed Johnson from Nottingham this summer. Moreover, his side came up against his former employees and secured all three points from City Ground. The North London club splashed a sum of €47.5m to sign the Wales international. It was owing to his performances during Championship and debut Premier League season.
If the Men in White and Blue want to secure a Champions League spot this season, Johnson must produce some moments. Although, he only has a single goal to his name in this campaign. The fans will surely love him to influx more numbers to his tally. Speaking to Tottenham’s official channels, Brennan said,
“It’s different situations. I think mentally at Forest when I was there last season it was mostly about results. When I was there last season we didn’t make the best start so we were almost playing catch up but then we got to a really good point where we were able to say that we could stay up and were definitely in the mix. It’s more week by week at Forest, trying to get three points. Obviously you want to keep performing well but here it’s all about how you are performing, the manager’s style of play and trying to replicate that on a match day. So in terms of the mindset it’s different, here it’s more about performance, whereas Forest was more three points.”
Johnson can be a future star for Tottenham
Brennan Johnson can become a huge figure at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Despite having a lot of heroes in attacking department, the Welsh can become a cult hero. Moreover, his previous performances also brag about his potential. With a manager like Postecoglou, it can be ideal for him to hit his maximum potential and become a talisman for COYS. Tottenham beat Forest by 0-2 and sit fifth in the league table.
