Times have not been good at Manchester United and some reports have claimed that Bruno Fernandes is linked with a move to Barcelona. It was said that Fernandes was getting frustrated with the situation at Old Trafford. Bruno’s agent Jorge Mendes was in contact with the Catalan giants.
Moreover, Fernandes was on the bench for United’s recent loss to the Wolves. However, he will look forward to starting against Aston Villa in the FA Cup. He turned United’s season when he arrived in January 2019. He has been the talisman for United since and has carried them till now.
However, United are somehow facing a huge dip in their performances and has very little time to find solutions. They had to sack their manager and hire Ralf Rangnick as the interim manager. Even so, things are still the same as players are finding it hard to adapt to a new manager.
Therefore, United are struggling to give good performances under Rangnick, and players’ frustration is still understandable. Moreover, some reports also suggested that many players were left frustrated and wanted to leave United. However, Bruno Fernandes has come out and dismissed the talks linking him to Barcelona. His response to the reports was,
“And I thought we had changed the year a few days ago and after all we are already on April 1st. Or is it once again just bad journalism?”

Bruno has been throwing his body everywhere whenever he plays for Manchester United. He has carried United on many occasions and still has the talent to do it. He is very much respected by the fans and the club for whatever he has done for them. The Portuguese have been a catalyst for United’s development over the last two seasons.
Moreover, Barcelona’s financial crisis would not allow them to sign Fernandes and give him the wages he wants. The financial crisis is quite evident to everyone which is also a factor why Fernandes dismissed the talks. Barcelona are already struggling to register players in their wage bill and will have more headache to register Fernandes.
Bruno Fernandes may see a future at United as he is one very important player for them. He is very capable of becoming the club captain and has a great influence on the fans. Fernandes may be held back with the love he gets from the fans. The United board can also offer whatever he wants to make him stay at the club.
Bruno Fernandes will have a huge role to play in helping United to get back to their glory days. He will be a very crucial player for Rangnick and also for the permanent manager who will be joining in the summer. There are very slim chances of Bruno Fernandes leaving Manchester United as his commitment to the club is quite visible.
