After all the drama in January, Moises Caicedo can now join Arsenal in the summer as Brighton won’t stand in his way this time.

Arsenal may have slipped in the title race, but Mikel Arteta has plenty to be excited about next season. Gunners will be playing in Champions League for first time in last six years, so they’ll need some reinforcement in the summer transfer window.

Arteta will hope to strengthen their midfield and Gary Jacob of The Times suggests that Arsenal are again taking interest in Moises Caicedo. However, this time Brighton won’t stand in his way as manager Roberto De Zerbi recently told SkySports:-

“For sure we will lose some players, maybe [Moises] Caicedo and [Alexis] Mac Allister.

“We have to be ready to bring in more good players and for the others; Mitoma, Estupinan, I think for them the best solution is to stay with us.

“I don’t know if they are ready to play in the big teams. You have to arrive ready in the head. We can offer them the possibility to progress and to improve.”

Caicedo joined Brighton & Hove Albion from Independence in 2021 and has gone to make 49 apperances in all competitions. The 23-year-old is coming off the back of a fantastic season for Seagulls this term.

Miguel Angel de Miguel Casas of Fichajes stated in May that Caicedo will cost around £80m(£70m). Arsenal will be reportedly given £200 million transfer budget in the summer, as per The Times.

Caicedo would be eager to play in the Champions League given the chance too, and the Emirates would be a perfect destination for him.
