‘Can we leave him alone ‘: Harbhajan spoke up for KL Rahul

Rahul is most probably in the worst phase of his cricketing time. Firstly he lost his white ball vice-captaincy due to his poor form in T20is. Now, lost his test vice-captaincy also. If he fails to make it into the 11 for the 3rd test. It might take a long time for KL Rahul to come back into the opening position as Gill always looked promising.

Harbhajan Singh on KL Rahul tweeted that

“Can we leave KL Rahul, alone guys? He hasn’t done any crime. He is still a top player. He will come back strong. we all go thru such patches in international cricket. he is not the first one and last one. so please respect the fact that he is our own 🇮🇳 player and have faith,”

Even the former cricketers Venkatesh Prasad and Aakash Chopra had words on KL Rahul. Aakash Chopra asked everyone to support KL. On the other hand, Venkatesh Prasad said he has to play domestic cricket and come back to the Indian team only after he finds his form back. He also said that many deserving players are waiting to perform for the Indian Team.

Venkatesh Prasad’s words

“A few people thinking i have something personal against KL Rahul. Infact it is the opposite. I wish well for him and playing him in such form was never going to enhance his confidence. For him to earn his place back in Test cricket, now that the domestic season has ended,”

He also added on KL Rahul that

“Rahul needs to play County cricket in England , score runs and earn his place back, much like Pujara did when he was dropped. Playing Test Cricket for the county and doing everything possible to get back in form will be the best answer. But will it be possible to skip the IPL?
