Carragher shared his views on Everton’s point deduction

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher shared his views on Everton’s points deduction in this campaign due to financial fairplay breaches.

Carragher also sends warning to Manchester City and Chelsea as they could hit with much bigger punishment than The Toffees. As Premier League’s official statement, 10 points have been deducted after Sean Dyce’s team were found guilty.

In League’s official note, they wrote :-

“During the proceedings, the Club admitted it was in breach of the PSRs for the period ending Season 2021/22 but the extent of the breach remained in dispute.

“Following a five-day hearing last month, the Commission determined that Everton FC’s PSR Calculation for the relevant period resulted in a loss of £124.5million, as contended by the Premier League, which exceeded the threshold of £105million permitted under the PSRs.

“The Commission concluded that a sporting sanction in the form of a 10-point deduction should be imposed. That sanction has immediate effect.”

Everton’s points dedication have send clear warning to other Premier League clubs, specially Chelsea and Manchester City. Earlier this year, City have charged with 115 of regulations for over a spam of 14 years.

Carragher sends clear warnings to current Premier League winners

Jamie Carragher sends warnings to Manchester City after Everton’s points deduction. He wrote on X :-

“The PL [Premier League] want a 12-point deduction for Everton for one charge. Man City are going to end up in the National League North if the PL get their way!!

“Unbelievable the amount of stories that come out about Everton’s situation, but Man City’s, which has 114 more charges & has gone on for much longer, has gone very quiet.”

City have won six Premier league titles in this time span as club owners spent over £2 billion during this period. However, they could hit with one of the biggest penalty, if Guardiola’s side are found guilty of the breaches.
