Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou is the current star of football for Australian media. His achievements with the club have made Australian media take note of him.

Many did not expect him to be successful at the Scottish club. However, the manager is now the favorite of the supporters of the club.

THE SHORT-TIME FAILURES AT CELTIC

Celtic are back playing attractive attacking football under Ange Postecoglou. However, before his appointment, this was not the case. The earlier managers appointed after Brendan Rodgers left the club started playing safe football. It was not the identity of the Scottish giants. This led to some shocking performances in the league and European competitions.

Another problem, they started having was their distance with title competitors and arch-rivals Rangers started increasing. Hence, the club was sometimes mocked. Therefore, this led to Neil Lennon’s resignation. Eddie Howe was approached for the role. However, he rejected the Celtic job. Therefore, an unknown face by the name of Ange Postecoglou took the reigns in hand. However, nobody was much impressed by his CV of him.

THE RISE OF THE SCOTTISH GIANTS UNDER ANGE POSTECOGLOU

The first thing the Australian promised was to bring back the attacking football. For that, he started making signings that would benefit the club long-term. The signing would also work with his tactics. Hence, the first thing he started getting things in order. That season, he brought in 10 new players and sold 12 old players. However, the transfer market activity paid off.

The new signings helped them win with the likes of fan favorites including Jota and Kyogo Furuhashi providing goals and assists. It also helped them regain their title in the first season for Ange. Celtic are always known for their failure in Australia in the form of signing like Tom Rogic. However, it looks like Celtic is a popular team in Australia under the management of their countryman.

Celtic will also be taking a trip to Australia in mid-November. They will face the likes of Everton, and two local teams Sydney FC and Western Syndey Wanderers. The games will help all the players maintain their fitness levels if they are not going to the World Cup.
