Champions League draw: Manchester City entangled with PSG in the group of death

The draw for the Champions League group stages is complete and it has thrown up a host of thrilling matchups and storylines for the coming months. With a string of Europe’s biggest clubs drawn against each other. As Manchester City gets ready to face PSG.

The Premier League champions Manchester City are in Group A also known as Group of deaths. The other clubs except City are Paris Saint Germain, RB Leipzig and Club Brugge. 

The Premier League champions Manchester City and  French giants Paris Saint-Germain will face off in Group A, in what could ultimately be a matchup between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. The latter has already moved to the French capital whilst the Premier League champions are in talks with Ronaldo’s representatives over a potential transfer. Guardiola’s side beat PSG 4-1 on aggregate in last season’s semi-final en route to losing the final to Chelsea.

Will Manchester City be able to win the Champions League trophy with the current squad?

For the Blues, that would mean winning Europe’s biggest prize for the first time in their history. Pep Guardiola’s side made it to the final last season but suffered heartbreak at the hands of Chelsea.

Manchester City Vs PSG encounter is being said as the one of the biggest clashes in this year’s Champions League. Both of the teams are strong contenders to win this year’s title. 

Although Manchester City won last year’s semi final against PSG by 4-1. But after the arrival of some new and experienced players in the squad like Lionel Messi, Sergio Ramos, Gianluigi Donarumma, Achraf Hakimi and Georginio Wiijnaldum, the team will think of bouncing back against last year’s Champions League finalists Manchestester City.
