With gameweek 12 of the Premier league underway, Chelsea have once again looked the best side in the division. Chelsea thrashed Leicester City 3-0 at the King Power Stadium.

The European champions came into Gameweek 12 with a three points lead above Manchester City. Chelsea looked strong from start to finish in the clash against Leicester City. They dominated the whole game and now they sit six points above Manchester City, who will play Everton tomorrow. While Leicester’s poor start to the season continues. This was their fifth defeat of this Premier League season.

Antonio Rudiger scored from a corner kick in the 14th minute. N’Golo Kante doubled the visitors lead in the 28th minute with a fantastic strike from distance. Christian Pulisic made his return back from injury as he came off the bench. The American winger caused havoc at the back for Leicester. He scored the 3rd goal for Chelsea in the 71st minute and had another goal later ruled out by VAR. Reece James had a brilliant game and also had his goal ruled out by VAR late in the game.

Edouard Mendy – 8

Edouard Mendy had nothing to do for the majority of the game. He did save a good long-range effort from Amartey. Mendy was booked in the 65th minute for time-wasting. But most importantly for Chelsea, he kept another clean sheet.

Reece James – 9

James added another assist to his tally for this season as he registered an assist for the Kante goal. He was a threat for the foxes’ defence. This assist is his eight-goal contribution of the season already.

Antonio Rudiger – 9

Rudiger scored the first goal of the game for Chelsea. The German defender looked rock-solid on the left side of the defence for the blues.

Thiago Silva – 9

Yet another class display from the veteran defender at the heart of the defence and he looked solid at the back and was brilliant in distribution from the back.

Trevoh Chalobah – 8

The young centre-half was called back into the starting line-up after missing out against Burnely. Chalobah did not look out of his dept against Jamie Vardy. It was his run and pass that released Hakim Ziyech for the Chelsea 3rd goal.

Ben Chilwell – 8

Chilwell should have bagged in the first half but did bag the assist for the Rudiger goal. He looked a constant threat down the left side for the blues. The left-back also had an effort on goal in the second-half saved by Schmeichel.

N’Golo Kante – 9

The French midfield capped off a brilliant display in the middle of the park with a fantastic goal. Jorginho played the deeper role in midfield and Kante played in a free role. His energy in the middle of the park was too much for the foxes to handle.

Jorginho – 8

Jorginho looked great in possession. He kept things ticking in the middle of the park for Chelsea. The Italian midfielder was taken off in the second half with what looked like a hamstring issue.

Callum Hudson-Odoi – 7

He was relentless with his pressing and caused a few problems for the Leicester line-up.

Mason Mount – 6

Mount didn’t really have the best of games and struggled to get into the game and make any real impact. Finally was taken off in the 62nd minute.

Kai Havertz – 7

Havertz had some very good touches in the first half and held up possession really well for his teammates. But didn’t really get in behind the Leicester backline.
