Chelsea and Manchester United are linked to Portuguese GK Diogo Costa

Chelsea and Manchester United are linked to Portuguese Goalkeeper Diogo Costa at the end of the season.

Costa has been rumored with a move away from FC Porto next season. Various Premier League clubs are interested in the Portuguese shot-stopper.

According to 90min reports, the Portuguese club is under financial pressure and they are willing to offload Costa during the summer transfer window. Club head coach Sergio Conceicao have threatened to leave the club due to the distressing months that could lie ahead.

Apparently, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, and Manchester United are interested in signing the player and they have to pay the release clause of £65 million. Costa signed a new contract at Porto, which includes £65 million release clause.

However, it will be interesting to see whether clubs are willing to pay that kind of money. They will look to take advantage of Porto’s financial difficulties and sign the player for a cut-cost price.

Costa has established himself as a key player for both club and country. He represented Portugal in FIFA World Cup last year. He started every match in Qatar.

COSTA HAS A HUGE DEMAND IN PREMIER LEAGUE

United should look to bring in a new Goalkeeper if Dean Henderson leaves the club next season. Costa can become a regular starter at Old Trafford in the future.

Similarly, Chelsea are looking offload Eduardo Mendy in the summer and the Blues will be eyeing to bring in a replacement. New owners will like a new goalkeeper for next season.

Spurs will also look to find a replacement for club legend Hugo Loris due to his growing age. Conte will like to have a new goalkeeper for his club next season.

Costa already has a huge market demand and it will be interesting to see his final destination for next season.
