Chelsea fans are having a gift by journalist Fabrizio Romano regarding Victor Osimhen. Chelsea have been a long-term admirers of Victor. Moreover, their manager Pochettino has been making demannds for the transfer of the Nigerian both on and off the field. Besides this, the Argentine recently said in a presentation that Todd Boehly and management will look to solve problems of the attack in January.
It has been reported that Mauricio wants taller players in the squad as height is a problem for the Blues. They are also in a desperate need of proven goalscorer in their squad. Considering this, Victor can be a real deal for Chelsea looking at his stats recently. He was a huge figure in Napoli’s scudetto achievement last season.
Romano shares the hopes of victor to Chelsea
Although Chelsea seem to have a real blow after news of Osimhen’s new contract signing this week. However, Romano has now said on CaughtOffside that a move in 2024 can be feasible.
“As I’ve previously reported, it never looked likely that Napoli would sell Osimhen in January, and that remains the case, but I think it doesn’t necessarily change much in terms of a transfer for summer 2024.
The possibility of a move later next year remains valid, even if January was always unrealistic. The release clause will be included in the contract, reported as being around €130m, but still to be confirmed.
This should be made official soon, but I expect Osimhen will still be one to watch for next summer. We know Chelsea are making a new striker a priority and I’ve mentioned links with Osimhen before, so let’s see what happens there, but it won’t be something imminent.”
