Loftus-Cheek and Chelsea will part ways in the summer

Chelsea will hear offers for midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the summer transfer window.

Loftus-Cheek has worked his way up through the academy ranks at Stamford Bridge. He was out on loan to Crystal Palace and Fulham, before becoming a regular starter for the Blues.

The 27-year-old has played in four of the last five top-flight games under Graham Potter. His current contract expires in 18 months and might leave the club next season.

Newcastle United were taking interest in Loftus-Cheek in January but the deal didn’t materialize. The manager wouldn’t let him leave due to injury crises in this current squad.

According to Football Insider, Loftus-Cheek is now being monitor by various clubs in Europe ahead of the summer transfer window.

It’s claimed that 5 Premier League sides are interested in him and both AS Roma and AC Milan are also monitoring him. Sources have reported that Chelsea are open to selling him in the summer and will listen to any offer put on the table.

Chelsea have already sold the likes of Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori having come from the Cobham Academy. Loftus-Cheek looks like another one on the list.

Since being promote to the first team, the midfielder has scored 13 goals and provided 17 assists. He adds a different dimension to Chelsea’s midfield.

Loftus-Cheek is a great option for any manager to have at his disposal. He manoeuvres in an incredible nine various positions throughout his career.

He has been dubbed a ‘dangerous’ player by journalist Josh Bunting.

Loftus-Cheek can become a key figure in Chelsea’midfield, if the Blues change their mind.
