Chelsea planning permanent move for Felix in the summer

Pochettino

Chelsea are planning a permanent move for João Felix in the summer transfer window, but that may prove difficult as other clubs are also entering the race to sign the Portuguese international.

The Blues have now turned their attention to the summer transfer window as Graham Potter wants to bring more fire-power to his team list. Chelsea signed eight players in the January transfer window including João Felix who joined on loan from Athletico Madrid.

However, Chelsea now wants to make the move permanent in the summer, but those plans have suffered a blow with Manchester United entering the race. United are monitoring his progress at Chelsea and will be hopeful that Athletico agrees to do a favorable deal in the summer.

Felix impressed everyone since his arrival at Stanford Bridge. The Portuguese international has shown great signs of form in the second half of the season. Chelsea are planning to bring Felix on a permanent basis in the summer.

Felix remained shy when asked about his future speculation that Chelsea are planning a permanent move for him. He said:-

“I’m not gonna speak about clubs as I’m here with Portugal,

“I can just say that I’m enjoying my new life at Chelsea and I’m adapting well to this new chapter.

“Chelsea is a team who likes to attack, who likes to have the ball, who likes to dominate the game, so that’s the game I like to play,

“I feel very free to play here, to play as I like. I’m loving it.

“When I left Atletico, I thought it was good for me and for them. So I think it was the perfect deal. So I think it’s important for me, this loan, and I’m very happy to play here.”
