Chelsea have confirmed the signing of Graham Potter as their new coach. The former Brighton manager succeeds Thomas Tuchel after his abrupt firing as Chelsea manager. Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly has moved swiftly to lure away Potter from Amex stadium following the abrupt sack of Tuchel. Potter becomes the 15th manager to manage Chelsea in the last 9 years.

Graham Potter is an excellent coach and tactician. He has achieved some remarkable feats in his coaching career. However, the most notable of it all is his meteoric rise in the Swedish League. The new Chelsea manager had taken Swedish side Ostersund from the fourth tier to the top division. Ostersund, under Graham Potter, were able to beat Arsenal 2-1 at the Emirates. However, they faced defeat in the match’s second leg and a knockout from the league. His first stint in English football saw him manage Swansea City in the 2018/19 season. Consequently, this impressive run at Swansea prompted Brighton to offer Potter a chance to lead them in the Premier League. He rebuilt the team in an illustrious manner. Potter and his Brighton team took on the league with bravery and courage, aiming to stamp their style into the game.

Graham Potter is expected to be more involved in the various operations at Chelsea

Moreover, according to a report by the Mirror, the new manager will be heavily involved in the search for the director of operations.
