Chelsea contacted Pochettino to replace Graham Potter

Pochettino

Chelsea are eyeing a potential replacement for Graham Potter and as per reports they have contacted Former Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.

As per Football Insider’s report, Chelsea have already discussed about their plans with the Argentine manager. Pochettino last served as PSG manager and got sacked in 2022. Christophe Galtier replaced him.

Potter’s future at Chelsea looks in danger following a poor run in results. The former Brighton manager had a huge January transfer window but Chelsea find themselves 10th in the Premier League Table. The Blues are also out of both FA Cup and Carabao Cup and have one goal deficit against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

New owners of the club will like to win trophies in the future and live up to the club’s reputation. But first Potter needs to climb up the table in the coming weeks. Chelsea will be expected to play in the Champions League next season and missing out on Champions League qualification will be a huge setback for the Blues.

Chelsea are currently 14 points behind Tottenham, who are sitting in 4th position. Securing a top-four finish will be a great challenge for the club this season.

However, Pochettino has been out since leaving Paris Saint-Germain last year and could prove his worth at Stanford Bridge. The Argentine did well during his time at Tottenham as he led the club to their first Champions League final.

But it will be keen to see whether Pochettino is eager on taking over at Chelsea in the summer. He has already shown his quality in Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton in the past and Chelsea can become the next chapter in his managerial career.
