Chelsea hold talks for Atalanta Forward Rasmus Hojlund

Chelsea Co-Owner Todd Boehly has held a meeting with Atalanta chairman Antonio Percassi for Forward Rasmus Hojlund, according to reports.

According to Daily Mail, Blues have identified Hojlund as an ideal candidate for their frontline. They have also taken first step towards a deal as Chelsea invited Atalanta chairman Antonio Percassi to their Champions League clash against Borrusia Dortmund to discuss about the availability of the 20-year-old.

Blues chief has shown major interest in Hojlund, who is admired in the capital. The left-footed forward has scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists in 34 apperances across all competitions this season. Henceforth, the forward has been dubb as “beast” by talent scout Jacek Kuling. His average of 2.47 shots per game, will make him a fantastic acquisition for Chelsea.

However, Hojlund also ranks in 98th percentile for progressive passes recieved, which shows he is getting himself in the right position to link with his fellow teammates in and around the box.

The Dennis international arrived at Atalanta in August 2022 and won’t be out of contract for another four years. Due to his exploits in Italy, he has caught attention of Boehly in the Premier League.

However, Real Madrid and Manchester United are also taking interest in Hojlund. But Atalanta have set a hefty price tag of £60 due to his immense potentiality.

He is also compare to Manchester City Striker Erling Haaland by his former manager Christian Ilzer, due to his exploits in front of goal.
