Chelsea fans went through a rough start of their transfer window. But the club recently confirmed the signing of England superstar from Manchester City, Raheem Sterling.

The club management under the new owner Todd Boehly is ready to back Thomas Tuchel in this summer transfer window. Also, this could be a vital window for the West London club as there will be movement both ways.

Now with the arrival of sterling confirmed, the club is also keen to back the manager Thomas Tuchel in other areas of the pitch. Also, the new takeover would provide Chelsea with a war chest to spend this summer. Reports are claiming that the amount could be as high as £200 million. Tuchel will now need to spend that money to improve his squad as there will be plenty of outgoings this term.

Now, the club identified Serge Gnabry, Kalidou Koulibaly and Frenkie de Jong of FC Barcelona as possible transfer targets. The management and Tuchel believe these players can be the answer to their title challenge this season. We now look at the possible Chelsea lineup if the club can get these deals over the line.

Possible Chelsea lineup based on latest rumours

Goalkeeper: Edouard Mendy

With no goalkeeping prospect that Chelsea would like to sign, the Senegalese keeper will once again keep his starting spot. He arrived for a fee of around £22 million and will start ahead of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

Defenders: Reece James, Thiago Silva, Kalidou Koulibaly, Ben Chilwell

Rudiger and Christensen already left the club ahead of the next season. Azpilicueta will potentially depart as well. Rumors previously said that Chelsea are in the race to sign Kounde and de Ligt. But now Koulibaly is on their radar. Reece James will keep his spot based on his outstanding last season. So will Thiago Silva and Chilwell.

Midfielders: Rice, Mount, de Jong

Rumours suggested that Chelsea well joined the race to sign Declan Rice from West Ham. If they can also sign de Jong, they could have a formidable midfield lineup for years to come.

Forwards: Sterling, Havertz, Gnabry

The latest signing Sterling will be a starter. Havertz can play the false nine role under Tuchel and Gnabry can take up either side of the wings.
