Jorginho whose current contract expires next summer wants his future to be concluded before by January. The Italian arrived at Stamford from Napoli, his agent is trying to tie his future up which could include an option of extending the contract. He might end up joining back to Serie A or La Liga.

Chelsea looking to offload Jorginho
Jorginho’s contract at Stamford expires this summer. Extending it at this time is highly unlikely. He’ll most likely probably leave by January. Barcelona might be interested in him but his wage could be an issue. Also, it depends upon the future of Frenkie De Jong, if de Jong ends up leaving which might offload some wages.
Sergio Busquets might be playing his last season with FC Barcelona and could decide to leave next summer. Which will also make space for Jorginho. Reports suggest Jorginho will wait for a proposal from Barça until January. But if nothing is resolved, he might just extend his contract with Chelsea.
Reports also suggest that Todd Boehly wants to bring fresh blood to Chelsea’s midfield which includes wonderkid Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice. The blues have already signed Carney Chukwuemeka this year and will go for Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice. Rice is the chosen one to replace N’Golo Kante and Jude might end up replacing Jorginho in the midfield.
