The Chelsea faithful still awaits the final verdict on the takeover and the new owners walking through the door. Todd Boehly’s consortium, Stephen Pagliuca, and a group headed by Sir Martin Broughton are the only horses remaining in the Chelsea ownership race. But with the club’s faith still up in the air, a number of Chelsea players are linked with moves away from the Stamford Bridge.
Real Madrid interested in signing Reece James
According to The Mirror, Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti have identified Reece James as the club’s priority signing in the summer. The English right-back has been on top form this term. James has recorded an impressive six goals and seven assists across all competitions this term. James was on top form up against Vinícius Júnior in the quarter-finals of the Champions League last week. But the right-back has a contract until 2025 with the blues. It seems next to impossible that Thomas Tuchel will be willing to lose such an important member of his squad next summer.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek set to stay at Chelsea?
According to reports, Ruben Loftus-Cheek has no desire to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season. The midfielder recently made his return back from yet another injury. But despite the constant injury layoffs, Thomas Tuchel still rates the midfielder very highly. The German manager praised the midfielder but was also very critical of him the same time in his recent interview. He said:
“He has everything it takes to play otherwise I would not count on him. But he has heard it for so many years. He has heard it too much.’ ‘He is still in the situation where he accepts limits too early.”
Juventus keen to sign Jorginho from Chelsea next summer
La Gazzetta dello Sport, via Fichajes, Italian gaints are keen to sign Jorginho in the summer. The midfielder is out of contract at the end of next term. As things stand the midfielder is looking more and more likely for a Serie A return at the end of the season.
