Chelsea predicted starting XI with Lampard as the new manager

Frank Lampard

Chelsea sacked Graham Potter this week and handed Frank Lampard the reign for the second time. The Blues are in the middle of the season with a lot of pressure to perform for the fans. Therefore, lampard is going to face a tough challenge with games coming thick & fast, along with unrest within the camp amongst players.

Moreover, it is going to be interesting to see what players Lampard starts picking for his first team. With uncertainty amongst a lot of players in the team, of whether they fit in the plans of the club, lampard is the one the players will look to show that they are worthy of a position in the team. This will be a clean slate for all the players and they will look to impress the new manager once again.

Chelsea predicted XI against Wolves

In the first stint of Lampard as Chelsea manager, he preferred some players for his team, among which Mason Mount was the most favoured one. Mount used to play a key role in Lampard’s team, playing in a central role and dropping amazing performances consistently. So, it will be no surprise to see Mount making it into the first XI if he is match fit.

Chelsea have struggled in the striker position of late and they have relied on Kai Havertz to deliver for the team. Unfortunately, the German has failed to make a big impact in the number 9 position for the team. Due to which, the Blues have struggled to register goals on the scoresheet in matches. It will be interesting to see who lampard chooses to start as striker in his team. As can be seen, he has no shortage of players to choose from, with the likes of Aubameyang, Havertz and Sterling all available.

Lampard’s possible first XI: Kepa, James, Fofana, Koulibaly, Cucurella, Chillwell, Fernandez, Kante, Mount, Felix, Sterling
