Chelsea receive a message from Loftus-Cheek regarding Cole Palmer’s transfer.

As rumours suggest that the Blues may be interested in Man City prodigy Cole Palmer, former Chelsea player Ruben Loftus-Cheek has made a subtly suggestive message.

The departures of Raheem Sterling to Chelsea and Riyad Mahrez to Al-Ahli in the previous 12 months have increased the 21-year-old’s team role this season under Pep Guardiola. Palmer contributed significantly to England’s victory at the Under-21 European Championship in the summer. He also had a strong start to this season.

The dynamic forward scored an incredible goal against Arsenal in the Community Shield match. Palmer also tied the score against Sevilla in the Super Cup final two weeks later. For Man City, Cole Palmer is yet to make a league start. In the most recent two games against Newcastle United and Burnley, he was on the bench.

Chelsea may aim to add another offensive player during this transfer window, according to manager Mauricio Pochettino, but he maintains any new additions must match the proper ‘profile’. Palmer is versatile enough to play in the midfield as well as in the forward line.

Chelsea are looking for attacking reinforcements

Cole Palmer has been seen as a late alternative to fill in for injured Christopher Nkunku and Carney Chukwuemeka. Chelsea are looking to bolster their assault before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.

Chelsea added Cole Palmer to the list of targets for the last addition, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Blues are ready to start talks with Manchester City about Palmer.

Along with Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Ansu Fati from Barcelona, Chelsea are also considering signing them. They have a long list of contenders for Mauricio Pochettino’s attacking reinforcement, including Rayan Cherki, Jamal Musiala, Bradley Barcola, and Emile Smith Rowe.

It seems like one of the Blues’ departing players approves of Palmer’s transfer. After nearly 20 years in west London, Loftus-Cheek left Chelsea earlier this summer to join AC Milan. His liking of Romano’s Instagram post may suggest that Loftus-Cheek is a supporter of the move.

Palmer’s arrival will mark the penultimate transfer window purchase for Chelsea, with player sales expected to take precedence up to Friday at 11 p.m.
