Chelsea will play again in the EFL Cup tomorrow night, and they have now released their most recent injury report. Winger Noni Madueke has resumed full team training, according to the regular piece published on the team website. He had been sidelined for several weeks due to an injury.

Madueke has had a really tough season because he hasn’t been able to get any regular playing time at Stamford Bridge.

Since his £30 million transfer to Chelsea back in January. His time there has essentially been one of few appearances, most of which have come off the bench.

Madueke has only made one start in the league and played a total of three minutes since October due to injuries and other factors.

Earlier in the season, Mauricio Pochettino publicly expressed his displeasure with certain off-field antics. That resulted in the Englishman being benched despite not having an injury.

Madueke back in full training

Even though he supposedly turned into a role model trainer after this incident. His playing time hasn’t increased as of yet.

Madueke does have a good chance tomorrow because of the remaining fixtures and the possibility of rotation.

Chelsea’s best chance to win a trophy this season is currently in the EFL Cup. As Mauricio Pochettino is obviously hoping to add another one to the club’s impressive trophy collection. And Madueke might get a chance.

In order to exact revenge for Newcastle United’s misdeeds against them in the league a few weeks prior, he might therefore be looking to field his strongest team for the visit.

At St. James’ Park, they were soundly defeated. And Reece James was sent off just in time to sustain an injury that would require him to miss another extended period of time from the game.
