Chelsea thinking to appoint former manager

Chelsea have recently announced their decesion about parting ways with Mauricio Pochettino. The club announced his departure on all social media handles along with official site. It was reveled that the decesion was taking by mutual agreement between Chelsea and their manager. Pochettino also thanked both club and fans for his time with the blues.

Pochettino recently did a very good job. Despite being inconsistent throughout the season, the blues ended the season with 5 straight wins. This caused Chelsea to finish 6th in Premier League and secure their spot in Europe. Pochettino had too deal with many injuries. These caused a lot of his starters to be sidelined for majority of the season. Recently the injured players returned to the pitch and Pochettino started to create magic. However Chelsea board didn’t seem to be impressed by the Argentine and took the decesion to part ways.

Going in the transfer market, the blues now have to find potential replacement for Pochettino. Over the months, the blues were linked with various managers and also were involved in talks with some of them. Recently they have been linked to their former manager who dominated europe in his spell with london side.

Pochettino considered as new Chelsea manager

Recent reports have linked Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel. Tuchel managed Chelsea for over one and half year and also brought success to the side. Recently Tuchel managed Bayern Munich but unfortunately had a very bad seaso with the German side. Munich ended this season trophyless and have taken the decesion to part ways with Tuchel. Chelsea are reported to be in talks with their former manager along with Manchester United. The Red devils too are thinking about replacing Erik Ten Hag with the German manager.

Despite multiple reports of the talks between Tuchel and Chelsea, Fabrizio Romano has claimed that there have been no talks between the two parties. He even stated that there are no internal talks within the club in consideration of Tuchel.

Chelsea fans are happy to welcome back Thomas Tuchel. He seems to be loved by all the fans after all he has done for the club. Tuchel took charge of Chelsea mid season in 2021. Ever since he took charge, Chelsea seemed to be transformed and went on to win champions league defeating Manchester City in the final. However after the arrival of Todd Boehly, Tuchel was sacked after poor start of the 2022/23 season.

In a poll hosted by football london, 30% of the Chelsea fans want to see Tuchel back at stamford bridge which is more than any other manager. Despite failing at Bayern, the Chelsea fans seem to back Tuchel fully and welcome him back and take charge of Stamford bridge.

Other options available for Chelsea

Chelsea have also been linked with other manager across Europe. The one name that was very heavily linked was Ruben Amorim. The portugese manager had a very good season with Sporting making them champions of europe. Due to his dominating style of play he caught eyes of Chelsea scouts. Chelsea were even reported to have hold a meeting with him and had formal discussions.

Roberto De Zerbi and Hansi Flick were the two of the names that were in linked after Amorim. However Chelsea fans don’t seem to be too interested in any of these options. Former Chelsea managers Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte are also jobless currently and will be looking for a club in this summer market. It will all come down to the decesion of the board after monitoring each of managers closely. Todd Boehly will like to have a man who will bring the glory days back to stamford bridge as soon as possible.
