“Chelsea will become title contenders by signing Harry Kane” – Sherwood

Kane

Former Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood claims Chelsea will become title contenders by signing Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer.

Sherwood has made an interesting comment that Chelsea and Manchester United would become favourites for the league title if they sign Harry Kane. Despite Spur’s struggle this season, the 29-year-old has scored 27 goals across all competitions so far.

Sherwood has also suggested that Kane will make a decision on his future this summer as he prepares to enter the final year of his current deal. While speaking about the matter in a Football podcast, he said:-

“I think he’s got a tough decision to make. If you cut him in half, he bleeds Tottenham and he loves the club, but in the end he needs to win trophies. It were me, I would certainly be looking to go and join the club that I felt was best equipped to win a trophy, and I think that will either be Manchester United or Chelsea.

“If you put Kane into Manchester United or Chelsea, they automatically become second favourites in the league behind Manchester City because he’s a game changer. He’s not a flash in the pan, he’s been getting 20 goals a season for almost 10 years now, he’s consistent, and he knows the Premier League.”

TalkSPORT claimed last month that Spurs Chairman Daniel Levy is preparing himself for an offer from Chelsea for Kane. They also added Mauricio Pochettino will be eager to reunite with his former player at Chelsea.

According to Times, Spurs will consider offers above £100 million for Kane this summer.
