Chelsea are not willing to sell Ben Chilwell in the summer transfer window.

Journalist Simon Phillips informed GIVEMESPORTS that Chelsea are not willing to sell Chilwell this summer. Graham Potter is a huge fan of the English side back. However, The English defender was under Manchester City’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window. Joao Cancelo’s future looks hanging in the middle as Guardiola would find a new left-back before starting off the 2023-24 season. Chilwell was linked to City in 2020 when he was at Leicester City. But the defender went to Chelsea and won the Champions League in his first season.

SIMMONS INFORMED THAT CHELSEA WANT TO KEEP CHILWELL

Simon Phillips informed that Chelsea wants to keep hold of the player:-

“Right now, he’s their first-choice left-back. He’s keeping [Marc] Cucurella out of the team and Graham Potter obviously likes him. He’s just come back from injury, so I do expect him to grow back into that role and get even better as well.

“Situation’s can always change but, right now, Chelsea don’t have any intention of selling Ben Chilwell.”

Chelsea’s new signing Marc Cucurella has struggled since joining the club last summer. Former Blues defender. Frank Leboeuf said on ESPN last month:-

“With all due respect to a man that I don’t know, the player is not good enough for Chelsea. It’s as simple as that,

“It’s crazy that they signed him for £60m or £70m.

Ben Chilwell had a great game against Borrusia Dortmund as Chelsea won 2:0 in the Champions League. Being a defender, he has shown great attacking qualities as he scored three goals and provided five assists in his first season at Stanford Bridge. Chelsea will be wise to keep him as he has all the qualities to become world-class in the future and win more trophies.
