Zakaria will be send back to Juventus as the Reds were interested in him

Chelsea will send back Dennis Zakaria to Juventus in the summer. The Blues are against on making the deal permanent.

Zakaria joined Chelsea on a season-long loan from the Bianconeri in September, with an option to make the deal permanent for a fee of around £25m. The Swiss midfielder has struggled with injuries since his arrival at Stanford Bridge. The 26-year-old has made only 10 appearances for the Blues this season.

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports, Chelsea have decided not to take chance on him. However, they are set to look elsewhere for reinforcement in their defensive midfield department.

Juventus also don’t have plans for Zakaria and might sell him during the summer transfer window. He can be a great addition to any club in Europe.

LIVERPOOL WERE INTERESTED IN ZAKARIA LAST SUMMER

Liverpool were interested in Zakaria before he joined the Blues, last summer.

According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, the Reds inquired about the Swiss International in August. However, the deal didn’t materialize.

The Swiss midfielder did secure a Premier League move, as he joined Chelsea on a loan move. The move can be termed as a disastrous one as he didn’t make an impact at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool will need to add a couple of midfielders next season and Zakaria will be still on their radar. Reports suggest that they wanted to sign Zakaria instead of Arthur Melo from Juventus last summer.

The door is now open for the Reds if they still want him. Chelsea’s imminent snub will give a new opportunity to Jurgen Klopp and Co.
