Aubameyang contract will be terminated by Chelsea

Chelsea will release Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the summer as he might return to Barcelona.

According to Spanish Outlet Sports, Aubameyang holds talks with Barcelona and told about his desire to return to Camp Nou. Aubameyang visited the dressing room after their win over Los Blancos last Sunday and congratulated everyone in the Classico celebration.

The 33-year-old is even ready to lower his wage compare to what he earns at Chelsea to facilitate the transfer in the summer. He fell out of favor at Stanford Bridge as the striker was not included in the Champions League squad for the knockout stages.

Current Premier League Standings

The Gabonese international scored 11 goals in the last season before he joined Chelsea. Reports suggest that he retains the appreciation of both Xavi Hernandez and the Barcelona board.

Obviously, Aubameyang signed a two-year contract with Chelsea last summer and the London club will have the final say on this. But it will be honest to say that a summer exit will be favorable for both Chelsea and Aubameyang.

However, Graham Potter insisted that Aubameyang has a future with Chelsea, last month. But now the situation has changed and the player is looking to move away next season.

He has made only four starts in the Premier League for Chelsea. He didn’t make it to Potter’s last three match-day squads.

New Owners at Stanford Bridge are looking to trim the squad, as well as reduce the wage bills. The team looks overcrowded and will go through changes in the summer.

The Evening Standards reported that Barcelona are prepared to save Aubameyang from his catastrophic spell at Chelsea.
