Bayern Leverkusen have agreed on a season-long deal with Chelsea on Callum Hudson Odoi. Hudson Odoi will fly to Germany on Monday for his medical as reported by Sky Sports. The deal was almost on the verge of collapsing as Leverkusen wanted a permanent buy clause in the deal. Chelsea were reluctant to add a permanent buy clause and they wanted a straight loan. Hudson Odoi’s brother Bradley was able to convince Leverkusen to accept the deal on Chelsea’s term.

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth confirmed this news via a tweet. His tweet reads as :

Bayer Leverkusen agree loan with Chelsea for Callum Hudson-Odoi. Move was in danger of collapse – Leverkusen wanted option. Chelsea wanted straight loan. Hudson-Odoi’s representative – brother Bradley – able to convince Leverkusen to take deal on their terms.

Hudson Odoi is a product of the Blues’ youth academy, Cobham. In his 126 appearances for Chelsea, he has scored 16 goals so far. Last season, Hudson Odoi was close to joining Borussia Dortmund. However, Chelsea blocked the move on the deadline day.

Hakim Ziyech could depart Chelsea too

Manchester United and Ajax have reached an agreement on striker Antony. Ajax are letting the player leave this season for a whopping fee of £100 million including add-ons. this means Chelsea has a chance of offloading Hakim Ziyech this transfer window. Ziyech was linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge to join Ajax for the majority of the transfer window. However, Ajax had stopped their chase of the player as the asking price was too high for them. Now, with the sale of Antony, it seems that Ziyech could be departing Stamford Bridge to join his former club.
