Christian Pulisic suffers a setback in recovery from injury for Chelsea

The comeback of Christian Pulisic from an ankle injury has been hampered, according to Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel.

Pulisic has not played for Chelsea since the start of the season, with the 23-year-most old’s recent problem stemming from a hard challenge while on international duty with the United States.

While the winger was expected to make his first-team debut soon, Tuchel stated at a news conference that he will be unavailable for the foreseeable future.

Thomas Tuchel stated:

He got injured in the match with the USA with a tough foul, hurt his ankle. There is nothing to worry about in that we are hiding details. I cannot give you them because I am not a doctor.

He has some setbacks, some pain in his ankle that disturbs him. With his quick movements, he feels it and isn’t free in the movement, the recovery is not happening.

Chelsea Will Need To Push back The Return Of Cristian Pulisic

Chelsea is no stranger to rehabilitating injured strikers. Callum Hudson-Odoi and Ruben Loftus-Cheek both missed significant amounts of time in 2019 owing to serious injuries. Hakim Ziyech’s persistent injuries have been a source of consternation for physios over the previous two seasons, and Pulisic is no stranger to the training table either.

The American is arguably the poorest of the three, however, Loftus-Cheek has been the unluckiest throughout his career since he appears to have missed more games than he has appeared in since arriving in west London.

The Chelsea are well aware of the quality they have in Christian Pulisic. When he’s on his game, he’s one of the most promising young wide players in the world.

Pulisic will not be able to play until his ankle heals. His game, like Hazard’s, is based on his ability to make fast cutbacks and dribble past opponents. Hazard has lately spoken out about the long-term consequences of not allowing himself to completely heal, and Pulisic must be in the same situation.

Chelsea must be aware of the potential it possesses. The American, who is still only 23, has his entire career ahead of him. Before going onto a competitive surface, Pulisic has to get his body back in shape and back up to full strength.

Chelsea will also be unaffected by this treatment approach. They have enough depth up top to perform well even without their young star. In Pulisic’s absence, Hudson-Odoi has proved to be more than capable of filling the left flank role. In addition, Tuchel’s tactical versatility allows Chelsea to play without wingers on any given day.
