Christopher Nkunku is back in training after his injury

Christopher Nkunku has joined back the RB Leipzig training after being out for some time for his injury. Christopher Nkunku have been injured since before the World Cup. This also led to him missing out on the World Cup. The Belgian player is heavily linked with Chelsea. A deal is already said to be in place, and the player have already agreed to join Chelsea this summer. Chelsea have had a busy January transfer window this season. They had already started doing the groundwork even before the transfer window began. The Blues had a very underwhelming season so far and are definitely looking to sign new players to boost their team. Chelsea manager Graham Potter is looking to build a team of his own, with him incorporating his style of play. Christopher Nkunku fits into the style of football that the manager wishes to play.

The future Chelsea forward is getting in some action after his unfortunate injury. RB Leipzig have released new pictures of Christopher Nkunku training at the club grounds. Therefore it could be assumed that the player is close to making a return. Chelsea have already a deal lined up for him to sign. It was a shame that the Blues could not sign him this January. But Chelsea are signing a loan deal for Joao Felix as a possible alternative for the Belgian. Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Chelsea have reached a verbal agreement for the loan move. Some fans though have been wondering how this loan move could affect Christopher Nkunku’s transfer as they both play for the same position. Romano have commented,

“João Félix deal will not have any impact on Christopher Nkunku move. Chelsea have already sealed the agreement with Leipzig for more than €60m fee”

He further added,

“Nkunku will become Chelsea player in July, all done and signed also on player side as revealed in December.”

Chelsea fans would be delighted to know that this loan move will not affect the arrival of Christopher Nkunku. The club have already sealed a deal with Leipzig for the player. Chelsea also does not have a buy option for Joao Felix, as he had to extend his contract with Atletico Madrid till 2027.
