Liverpool are interested in Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher, despite Jurgen Klopp claiming no transfers are due.
The reds have already signed Cody Gakpo this month, but they are eager to sign a midfielder too. Few names have been linked, but Klopp refuses for any other transfers happening this time.
However, The Daily Mail has suggested that Chelsea’s Gallagher is a player Liverpool seems to be interested in the English Midfielder is also attracting attention from Everton and Newcastle, too.
Gallagher isn’t keen on leaving Chelsea but with a potential deal for Enzo Fernandez in place, he might well be forced out.
Klopp’s main focus is on bringing reinforcement for Midfield in 2023. Jude Bellingham have linked with the Reds for quite a time now and they are also expected to sign Matheus Nunes from Wolves in the summer.
But if Liverpool doesn’t qualify for the Champions League, their transfer hopes can be destroyed.
Gallagher would be ideal for Liverpool
Liverpool have struggled with their midfield this season.
Lack of energy can be the reason behind it. Gallagher can bring that in Liverpool’s Midfield. He is all action in the middle, bringing tackling, energy, and presence to the midfield. With some aging players in their squad, Klopp will surely like a young and energetic player in the squad. If not Liverpool, Gallagher will surely find other suitors next summer for regular first-team football.
