Cristiano Ronaldo makes a fairytale second debut for Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo made a sensational second debut for Manchester United, as the red devils thrashed Newcastle United at home. As the calendar neared the date of 11th September all eyes were on Ronaldo who was ready to appear in the United shirt after 12 years. And arriving the moment, as United announced their line-up against Newcastle all eyes were on the Portuguese.

The buzz around Old Trafford was loud as they saw their old boy making his way into the pitch after a long wait. And all expecting the Portuguese to score at least one goal on his return home. And serving to the feast Ronaldo scored two goals against Newcastle United to fill up the hunger of the United fans.

Starting of the game Ronaldo looked focused on the upfront, while Newcastle United kept asking questions to the United defence. The game was drawing until the last minute of the half-time until the big man Ronaldo scored the opener. Mason Greenwood tried a shot at the Newcastle goal which Freddie Woodman failed to grab it properly. And standing there was Ronaldo scoring a simple tap-in and celebrating in his famous Siuuu style.

Starting the second half United had the same issues as they gave spaces to Newcastle forward to make runs. Following which Newcastle United levelled the score in 56th minute with Javier Manquillo scoring his first goal for Newcastle. But the black and white couldn’t hold the lead much longer as Cristiano Ronaldo scored his second. Moving fast in the counter-attack Luke Shaw passed the ball to Ronaldo, and the Portuguese fired a shot scoring a goal.

Other than Ronaldo, United had two more scorers, Bruno Fernandes and Jesse Lingard, who made the score 4-1. As the match ended, Ronaldo’s second Manchester United debut concluded with a brace. While the Portuguese seemed to look hunger for more goals in the upcoming matches.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United to focus on Champions League opener

As Cristiano Ronaldo completed his fairytale debut, he will now be focusing on facing Young Boys in the Champions League. Yes, the Champions League nights will be back this Tuesday, with Manchester United playing in Group F. The red devils will be accompanied by Atalanta, Villareal, and Young boys in their group.

Playing their first match in the group stage United will be going for a win to have a great start to the Champions League campaign. And with Mr. Champions League, Cristiano Ronaldo beside them it will be somewhat easier. The Portuguese wants to end his three years Champions League drought this season with Manchester United. So, get ready for the Champions League night and Mr. Champions League.
