BBC Journalist David Ornstein believes that Arsenal are favourites to sign West Ham star Declan Rice in the summer transfer window.

Speaking on the Five YouTube Channel, Ornstein shared his views about Rice and he states that majority of the football fans think that English midfielder will be targeted by the Gunners. Arsenal are long term admirers of the midfielder and will look to complete the deal as soon as possible.

Ornstein also claims that Rice will gather interest from other big clubs across the Europe. Hence, Arsenal need to move fast and press on this deal rapidly.

David Ornstein discusses his views on the transfer rumours and claimed:-

“Arsenal have prioritised him as their top target this summer and they are at the front of the queue. There is interest from elsewhere, Bayern Munich, Manchester United, Newcastle too and Chelsea.

“I sense that consensus across the industry is that Arsenal will try and press on with this and rapidly to try and strike an agreement.”

Arsenal are going to move rapidly and the bid would could be incoming very soon. West Ham set the price around £80 million for their star man in the summer.

However, it is intresting to hear that Ornstein believes that West Ham’s asking price to reach an astronomical figure in the summer. Arsenal will be hopeful of getting the deal quickly.

Everyone will keep an eye on in the coming weeks as Arsenal will bring in reinforcement in the summer.
