David Ornstein discusses about Arsenal and their potential summer transfer plans over YouTube this week.

Speaking on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, David Ornstein discussed about various topics. One of the things he mentioned was Arsenal’s transfer business.

Arsenal fans wants to see new faces at the Emirates next season. Ornstein suggested that chances of landing in a new striker remains low.

While speaking about Arsenal’s plans in the summer, Ornstein got into striking options. He feels there are slim chances of bringing in a new striker.

Despite talks of acquiring a new number nine on the agenda, Ornstein thinks Arsenal has other priorities in the summer. He also believes that Eddie Nketiah will get his chance once again and said:-

“Balogun is expected to be sold. Nketiah not so long ago got a new contract, so you suspect they will continue with him, and Jesus – I don’t hear big suggestions that they will be bringing in a striker, I think they are focused on other positions.”

Nketiah has scored nine goals this season across all competitions. However, Arteta opted for Leandro Trossard in the second-half of the season.

Ornstein believes that Nketiah is good enough to for Arsenal and has the potentially to take Gunners to the next level. But the 23-year-old hasn’t really kicked in as per expectations.

Nketiah needs to prove himself in front of Mikel Arteta by scoring more goals as only four of his nine came in the Premier League. Arsenal will dive into the market this summer to sign to some top players.
