Kevin De Bruyne terms Arsenal as “class team” after Manchester City won 4:1 at Etihad Stadium on Thursday night.

Pep Guardiola’s men were outstanding against the Gunners. City thrashed Mikel Arteta’s side as they took 3:0 lead inside 54 minutes.

Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland tormented their opposition at Etihad. Arsenal’s defensive line could not cope up with Manchester City’s attackers and the scoreline could have been worst heading into the break.

For Arsenal supporters, the performance will have been devastating to watch. Arsenal had all chance to win the league this season but the team collapsed under pressure. Arteta’s side only gathered three points in last 4 premier league matches.

Nevertheless, Arsenal recieved some applause fron De Bruyne, who was speaking in a post-match interview with BT Sport. He suggested Manchester City have huge respect for their rivals. He told :-

“They are a class team and hard to play against. We had to be at our best today and they were.”

Arsenal have played some of the best football in Premier League this season and before their recent glitch, many thought they would to get across the line. But Manchester City outfoxed them and now in prime position to win the Premier League Trophy.

However, De Bruyne still playing an important role in Guardiola’s side as he already lifted the trophy 4 times in last 5 years at Etihad. He himself scored twice against Arsenal to seal the deal for Manchester City.
