Declan Rice agree personal terms with the Gunners

West Ham

Arsenal are now favourites to sign West Ham midfielder Declan Rice in the summer transfer window, as per recent reports.

The Gunners have been linked with a move for Declan Rice for a long time now. Manager Mikel Arteta has been a long-term admirer of the West Ham captain.

Now, according to Football Transfer, Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Rice and are favourites to sign him, this summer. The 24-year-old has reportedly made the Emirates his preferred destination.

Despite interest from Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich in recent weeks, Rice wants to join Arsenal. Playing in Champions League for the North-London Club would be perfect for him.

Arsenal have managed to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season and they also challenged Manchester City for the League title this season. Arteta’s men will be hoping to go all the way next campaign, and they first need to improve their squad to match up with Premier League Champions.

Rice could help them to bridge the gap and could improve drastically. His defensive attributes and physicality can improve Arsenal’s midfield.

The Gunners were unable to rotate their squad due to lack of depth this season. Hence, Arteta will bring bodies to compete across all competitions.

Rice is only getting started and is likely to improve with more experience. He has all the attributes to become top-class player in the near future.

Arsenal are now in perfect position to sign Rice, but West Ham will play a hard-ball to negotiate his price in the coming weeks.
