Dominik Szoboszlai provides an update on injuries following “unexpected events” in Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp

The year 2024 did not begin as Dominik Szoboszlai had hoped. His injury against Newcastle in the first game of the calendar year came at an unfortunate time for Liverpool as well. Jurgen Klopp already lacks a number of important players, and Szoboszlai’s absence only made his injury problems worse.

It’s not all bad news, though. The Hungarian may return sooner rather than later as his muscle injury is not believed to be serious.

Szoboszlai gave reporters an update on his injury before accepting the Hungarian Male Sports Person of the Year award for 2023 last night while back in his native country.

Hungarian leading star

Dominik Szoboszlai,a Liverpool fan favorite and a potential successor to Hungarian legend Ferenc Puskas has had a pretty impressive 2023. In November, Hungary defeated Montenegro 3-1, and the 23-year-old midfielder stole the show. He scored two goals.

he has rapidly become Hungary’s leading footballer, a rise which has coincided with the national team’s resurgence.

Szoboszlai injury update

Szoboszlai stated in an interview with M4 Sport that, Although his first game against Newcastle did not go as planned. He will be back on the field very soon.

I’m getting better. The first game of the year didn’t go as planned [for me], but it won’t take long and I’ll be back.”

That’s as good of a about as supporters of Liverpool could ask for. For Jurgen Klopp, having Szoboszlai back in the lineup will be very beneficial.

Although Szoboszlai’s comments suggest that he might be in line to play against Bournemouth in Liverpool’s next Premier League match, Fulham midweek may come too soon.
