Don Hutchinson believes that Arsenal star is underrated and going under the radar

ESPN Pundit Don Hutchinson believes that Arsenal star Eddie Nketiah is an underdog for his achievements. Though, Hutchinson also says that goals from their no.9 is not enough to win Arsenal the title. Nketiah will be the man keeping an eye on the business of his club in the winter as they look to sign a striker. Perhaps, it is due to the fact that Arsenal’s attack is not looking a serious threat this season. Gabriel Jesus is not looking much threatening at times in front of the goal. The Brazilian is having just two goals so far this season. On the other hand, Nketiah has found the net five times this campaign.

Considering the two forwards, Hutchinson believes Arsenal will fell short in the title race. Despite this, he believes that the 24-year old Eddie is not having enough credit from the management. Speaking on ESPN, he shares,

“I don’t see Arsenal, not with any confidence. Not because they’re not playing well, but I just think they’re something short. I don’t think they’ve got the goals in the number nine.

I think Jesus works incredibly hard. But he’s not Haaland. He’s not going to get 20-odd goals. Nketiah, I like. He works hard. I think he’s underrated. But I think they’re missing that x-factor.”

The only problem with Nketiah is that he is not given the chance to feature regularly. He has been brilliant at times when Jesus is unavailable taking the full advantage of the moment. He even bagged a hat-trick earlier this season against Sheffield United. However, his recent goal against PSV in the Champions League was his first goal since the hat-trick. It will be eye-catching to see what Arsenal makes in the transfer window. If the Gunners are to make a signing, Nketiah will surely fall down to a third-choice striker, something not good for him at such stage of his career.
