According to Marca, Edinson Cavani has agreed to complete his move to FC Barcelona. He has reportedly chosen a move to the Spanish giants over Boca Juniors. Cavani has only six months left on his Manchester United contract. As a result, he has been considering his future at the club.
Moreover, injuries have limited his time on the pitch this season as he has started only 2 Premier League games. United currently has more competition in their forward lineup considering their summer signings. However, Cavani has proved to be an important player for their squad last season and can still deliver a lot under their new manager Ralf Rangnick. Nevertheless, the Uruguayan international is now injured for quite some time now.
Barcelona wants to replace the retiring Sergio Aguero with Edinson Cavani. Losing Aguero like that is a huge blow for the Catalans. They signed the Argentinian for free but he was injured for most of the time. Moreover, he had to retire because of the heart issues he faced on the pitch.
