Emile Smith Rowe have revealed that he is indeed very desperate to return back to the Arsenal squad. The player have now recovered from his injury. Furthermore Emile Smith Rowe is currently struggling to find his place back in the Arsenal squad. The youngster had become a regular starter for Gunners over the last two seasons. However things took a turn after he sustained his groin injury back in September. He even had to go through a surgery for the injury. Furthermore along with his injury problems, the competition in the Gunners squad have also increased. Saka, Martinelli, Trossard, Nelson and Vieira are all competing for a place in the starting line-ups. Therefore Smith Rowe is indeed finding it difficult to return back to the squad. It looks like he will have to work really hard to get back into Arteta’s plans.

Emile Smith Rowe confesses that he is desperate to return back to the Arsenal squad

Emile Smith Rowe was seen playing with the U-21s during the international break. He even managed to score in England’s 4-0 win against France. While talking to the media, the player admitted that he has been struggling to get back in the Gunners squad. Emile Smith Rowe confessed, “I’m really desperate to be honest. The team are doing really well and it’s obviously something I want to be a part of. I’m working hard every day. Coming away with England is minutes that I really need. I’ve been struggling with this injury since I was 18 or 19, just before I went on loan to RB Leipzig.” He further went on, “I was quite low at the beginning. I’ve never had surgery before. It’s been tough, but I’m glad it’s all sorted now. I don’t feel any pain. I just need to kick on.”

Earlier this month the manager himself had told the media that Emile Smith Rowe will have to work hard to get back in the team. Arteta revealed that the player knows that the club appreciate him. However he has work to do to get back his lost spot in the team.
