Emmanuel Petit confesses on not being a fan of Jorginho

Emmanuel Petit have confessed that he is not a big fan of the new Arsenal signing Jorginho. Jorginho arrived at the Emirates on a last minute transfer on the deadline day. Furthermore the Gunners manager was keen to recruit a new midfielder in the team. Arteta had turned to the former Chelsea player after they failed to sign Brighton’s Moises Caicedo. Brighton had rejected two Arsenal’s bid made for the player. Following the transfer Jorginho had been thrown into action immediately. He had to step in for injured Thomas Partey to manage the heart of the midfield. Furthermore the player was very important in Arsenal’s 4-2 win over Aston Villa. He struck a fierce effort against the goalpost which was converted into an own goal by Emi Martinez. The Italian’s efforts turned out to be the winning goal against Villa.

Former Arsenal star admits to not being a fan of Jorginho

The player have since then started in every Arsenal game. However Emmanuel Petit confessed to not being a fan. Although he does admit that Jorginho looks like a different player under Arteta. Emmanuel Petit shared, “City will put pressure on them every single day, but they are showing so much maturity and happiness. Happiness is so important and you can see that from Jorginho, he’s a different player.” He further continued, “I’m not a big fan of Jorginho and I think he’s very happy he’s left Chelsea’s dressing room – all of a sudden he looks like a different player.” But Thomas Partey is still likely to be the first choice for the Arsenal manager. And it could be seen that Thomas Partey makes a difference in every game he appears in. It was very evident in the 4-0 win against Everton on Wednesday.

Jorginho is surely a huge influence in the Arsenal dressing room. The player is an experienced Premier League player. Furthermore the player is someone who who knows how to push himself to do better. Therefore having a player like Jorginho will only benefit the Arsenal team.
